Mike Vallely har gjort en lång resa. För att som underdog och ganska cool snubbe i Public Domain och Rubbish Heap i slutet på 80-talet, sedemera förvandlas till någonting liknande en profeterande skateboard-jesus med Henry Rollins-komplex. Via spoken word, livs-camp för kids och regissör/författare till stuntman, wrestlare, sångare i hardcore (nu)metal-band och parallelt farmarhockey-ligans “bad boy #1″. Nu är det dags för rubriker igen då han officiellt signerar kontrakt med NHL-laget Anaheim Mighty Ducks.

“In my mind hockey is the original action sport,” said Mike V, a Ducks season ticket holder “Before the fame of action sports, hockey players were generally regarded as the toughest and craziest athletes on the planet. I think they still are. Of all the traditional and action sports, hockey and skateboarding are the only ones that are truly compatible.”
