Men kommer fortsätta släppa skivor pÃ¥ skivbolaget. Release the bats är IT-handikappads förmodligen största favorit bland skivdistributioner och det är med en viss sorg som detta skrivs.  Vi är dock glada att meddela att skivbolaget kommer fortsätta precis som vanligt. I samband med avveckligen sÃ¥ pÃ¥gÃ¥r en gigantisk rea i webbshopen…

…och det kommer fortfarande gÃ¥ att handla pÃ¥ RTB’s butik i Utmarken varje lördag 12.00 - 18.00.

I’ve been doing the mailorder/distribution since 2000 (yep, it was actually started 2 years before the label was born), but now it’s time to move on. Sales has contantly been winding down during the last year, not sure why but it’s getting harder and harder to run things properly because of this. I haven’t sold a single copy of lots of titles that has arrived this year. Current status in the world certainly dosen’t help, and it seems like the whole independent music industry is going through some rough changes for the moment. Some will survive, some will die. People rather order directly from the labels than from mailorders, and it’s quite hard to compete with all these limited pressings and so on. I feel like there is no purpose for RTB these days. But more importantly, i just don’t want to do it anymore. Lots and lots of hours spent packing up records, standing in line at the post office etc. It used to be filled with joy but not anymore. Some personal changes in life are to occur and i will just do RTB fulltime for a few more months. It’s been a fun ride but i will not miss it. RTB as a label will still be the same so no worries there, the upcoming release schedule is insane!
